Lacock, Historic Village in Wiltshire #travel #places used for #film locations #HarryPotter

Was here a few weeks ago – and yes, it’s both interesting and intriguing. Check out the jail if you go

The village is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and has been used as a film set for, amongst others, Cranford, Pride and Prejudice and a couple of the Harry Potter films. The older houses in the village date from the 18th century.

Lacock Abbey was established in 1232. Not an Abbey as such now, but a country house built on the site of a former nunnery.
