As someone who has counselled men and women nutritionally for the last 18 years, it is important that I practice what I preach. This does not mean that I do not eat chocolate, drink the occasional glass of wine or enjoy a tub of ice-cream… With more chocolate!
But they are not sins, they are indulgences that I choose to eat from time to time and my life is definitely sweeter for them. However, if I indulge in these foods every day, within a very short time I can put on excess weight again, and that can affect me physically, mentally and emotionally. That does not make me the greatest of role models!
